Symposium
Yesterday and today, I attended the International Symposium on Food Safety 2007 with two of my colleagues. Expertises and professors around the world were invited to give presentation on food safety issues. Over a hundred people including government officers, food industry representatives and interested parties attended this international meeting. I was pleasant to see so many people and I could recognize some people I have seen before in some visits or seminars.Topics discussed in the symposium mainly include food risk assessment, risk management and risk communication. Well, very large topic. Actually, I have no idea on these topics. I just think it is a good chance for me to understand more about food safety, which is what I am interested in.
OH! But I found that my English is really too bad. Declining~~~~ Really very difficult to listen to some speakers, whose voice is so deep or boring. This really made me don't understand what they were speaking. SO POOR~~
What made me feel funny was my boss also feel boring to some topics which is not related to our work. At the end, we left earlier, during the afternoon break. This was the idea of my boss!!! ha~! Anyway, this was a good symposium and I met some CU FNS alumni and professors. And we had good lunch buffet in this high class Hotel Shangri-La. >.~
